KidsCan Foundation is funded primarily through donations from the Swiss public. We fundamentally assume that our donors are committed individuals who wish to make an important contribution to achieving our mission. They place great trust in us, and for this reason we deploy every donation with care.
The following provisions govern the handling of donations from private individuals as well as from foundations and companies.
Grounds for rejection
KidsCan Foundation reserves the right to decline donations whose origin conflicts with the values of our organisation, or that could compromise our independence and neutrality, or damage our reputation. Donations will not be accepted if:
- There is suspicion of illegal activities such as drug trafficking, fraud, money laundering, etc., or
- The donation originates from manufacturers of products (e.g. cigarettes) that have a demonstrably carcinogenic effect.
Due diligence
Subject to the exceptions listed below, KidsCan Foundation's due diligence review focuses on donations from an amount of CHF 25,000 (either individually or cumulatively within a calendar year).
